皆と食事を終え、一旦は解散。

ここで気がかりな思いに囚われる。
なにかが足りない。
それを求め、上野方面へ歩き出した。
進みながら左へ曲がろうとするが
なぜか道路は右へカーブする。
そのうち方角が曖昧 になる。
現在地が分からなくなってしまった。
細い坂道が洞窟のようになる。
その奥に人家の入り口があった。
中に入ると、老婆がいた。
「あの、道を教えて欲しいのですが」
「どこへ行きたいのだね？」
どこへ行くつもりだったか思い出せない。
泉岳寺だったか。いや、違う。
「とりあえず、神田か日本橋に出れば」
「知らんな。そんなとこへ行く道は」
老婆は言いながら、小銭を手渡そうとする。
お小遣いのつもりか。
それを断り、諦めて引き返す。
住宅街に出た。
辺りを見回す。
まったく見覚えがない。
今来たばかりの道もどちらだったか。
困った。
まるで徘徊老人のようではないか。
