私は記録係に準ずる立場らしい。
挑戦者から要望あり、盤上の駒に細工を施す。
いくつか駒を組み合わせて大砲のような形にする。
これで歩兵を飛ばして王将を射止めるつもり。
ところが、陣形が乱れてしまった。
盤上からこぼれた駒が畳に散らばる。
それを見向きもせず、名人がため息をつく。
いけない。もうすぐ開始時刻だ。
盤の下には折り畳み式の将棋セット。
なんだ、これは？ あわてる。
明らかに駒数が足らない。
対戦者も立会人も、誰も助けてくれない。
なにも片づかないまま、定刻が刻々と迫る。
