どこぞの会社事務所。
これから接待の飲み会へ出かけようとしている。
営業男は分厚い英和辞典を抱えている。
得意先から問われた場合を想定しての用心らしい。
ご苦労なことである。
細長いビルの狭い階段を下りるようなので
荷物の多い彼のバッグのひとつを持ってやる。
かなりの年配なので同情したのだろう。
だが途中、自分のバッグがないことに気づく。
預かったバッグに気を取られ
どこかに置き忘れてしまったものと思われる。
それで、天井にある秘密の抜け道を通って
上の事務所へ戻ろうと試みる。
「しばらく誰も使ってないから、心配ですね」
親切な女子社員が声をかけてくれた。
それでもサラリーマンは行かねばならぬ。
Forgotten Bag
A company office somewhere.
We are about to go out
for an entertainment drinking party.
The sales man has a thick English-Japanese dictionary.
It seems that he is careful assuming
that the customer asks.
He has a hard time.
We seem to go down
the narrow stairs of an elongated building,
so I decided to bring one of his heavy luggage bags.
I must have sympathized because he is quite old.
But on the way, I find that I don't have my bag.
Distracted by the bag he gave me,
I think I left it somewhere.
So I try to get back to the office
above through a secret loophole on the ceiling.
"I'm worried
because no one has been using it for a while."
A kind female employee called out to me.
Still, I'm a salaryman, I have to go.
