Ballless Baseball

それでアナログ式に時間を戻して修復を試みる。

戻り過ぎたり、まだ届かなかったり、
時間をデジタル式に調整できないので苦労する。

途中、猫の破損した額をついでに修復する。
優しいところもあるな、と自画自賛。

Life Editing

雑巾を絞るようにして出汁を集めたりもした。

すべて戻したところで、現れた家人に謝る。

家長であるらしき女が確認する。

電話番号を問われ、素直に伝える。
すると、すぐに彼女は連絡して私の携帯電話を支配した。

それにより、ほとんど奴隷の立場に貶（おとし）められたようだ。

手持ちの金がなかったわけでもないのに
なぜ現金で払おうとしなかったのか悔やまれる。

Return the Ingredients

認められない存在

典型的なミステリーの体裁で、環境問題を絡めた
教育的な小説のシリーズがある。

本当は実在しないのかもしれないが　
少なくとも読んだ記憶はある。

正直なところ、あまり面白くない。
だが、小学校の教員である作者の熱意は感じる。

面白くないのに存在を認められているものは
面白いのに存在を認められないものより多いかも。

Unrecognized Existence

There is a series of educational novels
on environmental issues in a typical mystery style.

It may not actually exist,
but at least I remember reading it.

To be honest, it's not very interesting.

However, I feel the enthusiasm of the author
who is a teacher at the elementary school.

There may be more things that are not interesting
but are recognized than those that are interesting
but not recognized.

おもちゃの戦車

舗装道路にしゃがむ。
おもちゃの戦車をつかみ、地面に置く。

すると、戦車に引かれておれの体が移動する。
おもちゃでも戦車となると大したものだ。

街には雨が降っていた。
手を使ってないのになぜか傘を差していた。

途中、わき道にそれる。

帰宅するまでに乾電池が持つか、ちょっと心配。
ところが、戦車は橋の下を通る頃には消えていた。

ホームレスの持ち物らしき寝具一式を発見。
近くには川が流れている。

自炊するには申し分ない環境だ。
もし難民になったら使わせてもらおうかな。

Toy Tank

I crouch on a paved road.
I grab a toy tank and put it on the ground.

Then, my body moves by being pulled by the tank.
Even toys are a big deal when it comes to tanks.

It was raining in the city.

I was holding an umbrella for some reason
even though I wasn't using my hands.

On the way, I deviate to the side road.

I'm a little worried if the dry battery will last
by the time I get home.

However, the tank had disappeared by the time
it passed under the bridge.

I found a set of bedding
that seems to be homeless belongings.

A river runs nearby.

It's a perfect environment for self-catering.
If I become a refugee, I wonder if I can use it.

たむろする

友人の部屋でたむろしている。
若い野郎ばかりだ。

「おれ、普通科の人と話すの、初めてなんだ」
「なんだそれ？」

「おれのまわり、専門高校ばっかりだったんでね」
「うそだろ。信じられねえな」

やがて趣味の話になる。

「おれは数学について語りたい」
「らしくないな」

「おれが今、夢中なのはこれさ」
友人は倒れていた大型バイクを起こす。

「外国のか？」
「ああ。ちょっと改造中なんだ」

とりとめもない。

Hang out

四隅の米

ごたつの大きなテーブルの上に皿を並べる。
場所を変えての、食事会のようだ。

春近いのか日差し明るく、実家の二階の広間は暖かい。
亡くなったはずの親父の姿もある。

テーブルの四隅に直接、米粒のようなものを
撒くように、親族の誰かが置いている。

皿数が足らないわけでもないから、風習だろう。
きっと食べるつもりで置くのではあるまい。

人数が多そうだから、おれは角に座ろうと思う。

Rice in the Four Corners

Arrange the dishes on the big table of kotatsu.
It's like a dinner party in a different place.

The sun is bright, probably near spring, and

Chopped Seaweed

I was explaining something to the owner of the store.
