長い長い戦いが続いた結果として
ほとんど人の言葉が話せなくなり、
獣の鳴き声しか出せなくなった仲間たち。
銃弾に傷めつけられた穴だらけの家を
敵が中まで侵入してこないように
男たちが寝ずの番をしている。
ただし、もう
敵は一人しか生き残っていない。
マシンガンの弾が底をついたらしく
口真似で発射音を出し続けている。
音のなくなった世界が怖いのかもしれない。
神経質そうな味方の男が
かつて友であったはずの敵を恐れ、
家の外の闇へ向かって吠えている。
おそらくライオンのつもりなのだ。
敵はマシンガンの口真似を続けながら
手作りの骸骨みたいに痩せ、
よたよた歩くように走っている。
一声吠えると
ついに仲間の男が外へ飛び出した。
目を背けながらも、願わずにいられない。
たった一人の敵なんだから
早く逃げてくれたらいいのに。
外に隠れる場所がないなら
この家の中に逃げてくればいいのに。
