大きなテーブルの上に荷物が乱雑に載っている。
旅館ではなく、飲み屋のよう。
または役所の受付のような気がしないこともない。
「お名前、なんとお読みするのでしょうか？」
チェックイン業務の女の子が尋ねる。
さる下品な芸能人と同じ読み仮名を伝える。
すると、彼女は顔を赤らめながらも
その類の名前を次々と記帳してゆく。
受付の奥はオフィスになっている。
そこで明日から事務作業をするつもり。
我々は客ではなく、じつは従業員だったのだ。
うまく働けるか不安だが、ちょっと楽しみ。
なんだかOLにでもなった気分で
割り当てられた机の上をさっさと片づけ始める。

Let's Work
We stopped at the inn on a group trip.
Luggage is cluttered on a large table.
It's like a bar, not an inn.
Or it feels like a receptionist at a government office.
"How do you read your name?"
The girl in the check-in business asks.
I convey the same reading pseudonym
as a vulgar entertainer.
Then, while she blushes her face,
she records the names of that kind one after another.
The back of the reception is an office.
So we will do the office work from tomorrow.
We were not customers, we were actually employees.
I'm worried if I can work well,
but I'm looking forward to it.
Feeling like an office administrator,
I quickly start cleaning up my assigned desk.
