繰り返したくない

おれたちは狭いトンネルのような通路を進み　
細いチューブのような坂道を滑って落ちる。

これが目的地への近道なのだが　
遊園地のアトラクションのようでもある。

なんとかゴール地点までたどり着いたら　
スタート地点まで引き返さなければならない。

でも、同じ行程を繰り返したくない。　
おれは途中でひとり道を外れてしまう。

見覚えある繁華街に出て、あたりを見まわすと
すぐ近くに地下鉄の改札口があった。

切符も定期も持っていなかったが　
通勤通学の人の群に紛れて通り抜けてしまう。

逃亡者なのに、犯罪者の気分が重なってしまった。

自作自演。

I Don't Want to Repeat

We follow a narrow tunnel-like passage
and slide down a narrow tube-like slope.

This is a shortcut to our destination,
but it's also like an amusement park attraction.

When we manage to reach the goal,
we have to turn back to the starting point.

But I don't want to repeat the same process.
I get off the road on the way alone.

When I went out to a familiar downtown area
and looked around,
there was a subway ticket gate nearby.

I didn't have a ticket or a commuter pass,
but I was confused by a group of people commuting
to work and school.

Even though I was a fugitive, I felt like a criminal.
