飲食店の床板はがして床下を覗き見る。
ハロウィンらしき仮装して
若者らが歩行者天国の通りを闊歩してる。
彼らは自由気まま、愛に飢え、夢破れ、
杖を持っていても魔法は使えない。
それでも召喚呪文を大勢で唱えると
今時のいかにもな魔女が現れた。
古風な楽器を奏で、魔女は歌い始める。
蝋燭の炎が一時的にせよ闇を払うように。
A Witch on The Pedestrian Street
I peel off the floorboard of the restaurant
and look under the floor.
Young people are walking around
the pedestrian street in Halloween-like disguise.
They are free-spirited, hungry for love,
breaking dreams, and even with a wand,
they can't use magic.
Still, when they cast
a large number of summoning spells,
a witches of today appeared.
Playing an old-fashioned instrument,
the witch begins to sing.
May the candle flame dispel the darkness,
even temporarily.
