パンのシュート

石炭ストーブのある教室にいる。

パンをボールに見立て、バスケットボールの
シュートをしよう、と同級生たちに提案する。

他に名乗り出る者がいないので
おれがパンのシュートを試みることになる。

ところが、いざシュートしようとすると
異国の留学生らがストーブを囲み、近寄れない。

言葉が通じないことが壁になっているようだ。
ほんのちょっとパンを焼くだけなのに。

Bread Shoot

I'm in a classroom with a coal stove.

I suggest to my classmates to think of bread
as a ball and shoot basketball.

No one else will come forward, so I'll try to shoot bread.

However, when I tried to shoot,
foreign students surrounded the stove
and couldn't get close to it.

It seems that the incomprehensible language is our wall.
I just bake a little bread.

抗争

おれたちはギャングどもと派閥争いしていた。
やつらは暴力で、おれたちは説得で。

やつらは不意打ちのように棒で頭を叩きやがる。
株や債券などを安く仕入れる情報を奪うつもりのようだ。

命を取られる危険性もあるわけだが
あいつらに従うくらいなら死んだ方がマシというものだ。

中国系マフィアではないかとの噂もある。
道理で話が通じないわけだ。

Conflict

We were in a faction dispute with the gangs.
They are violent and we are persuaded.

They hit our heads with a stick like a surprise hit.

They seem to be robbing the information of buying stocks
and bonds cheaply.

There is a danger of being killed,
but it's better to die than to obey them.

There are rumors that they are Chinese mafia.
That's why the story doesn't make sense.

不安の接近

舗装道路が迷路のように入り組んでいる。

私はタイヤが横にたくさん並んだローラーみたいな物を
リヤカーのようにハンドルを持って引いている。

開発工事の途中なのか、大型トラックの通過が目立つ。

道路の幅がそれほど広くないので
接触するのではないかと、ちょっと心配。

そうこうするうち、交差点のような場所に出た。

向こう側に自転車を引いた少年の姿。
眠いのか、前のめりに倒れたり起き上がったり。

いったい何をしているのだろう、と思いながら
私は彼の方へ向かって進む。

すると、私に気づいて少年が注意する。
「ここは踏切だよ」

横を見ると、なるほど列車が接近していた。
あわてて後退する。

あぶないところだった。
あとで少年に礼を言わねばなるまい。

Approaching Anxiety

The paved road is intricate like a maze.

I'm pulling something like a roller
with a lot of tires side by side,
holding the handle like a rear car.

Perhaps it is in the middle of development work,
the passage of large trucks is conspicuous.

The width of the road is not so wide,
so I'm a little worried that it may come in contact.

In the meantime, I went to a place like an intersection.

There was a boy pulling a bicycle on the other side.

Maybe he's sleepy,
he's leaning in front of him and getting up.

I head towards him, wondering what he is doing.

Then he notices me and he pays attention.
"This is a railroad crossing."

Looking to the side, the train was approaching.
I hurry and retreat.

It was a dangerous place.
I have to thank the boy later.

断崖駐車

トラックを断崖の上、空中にはみ出るように駐車する。

いつもはそれで問題なかった。
ところが、今回は違和感を感じる。

ためらっていると、工事監督が指示するのだった。
「いつものようにここに停めてくれ」

おれは首を横に振り、抵抗を試みる。

「いつもならここに金属フレームがあった。
　なのに今は割り箸みたいな木の棒があるだけ。
　これでは怖くて停められない」

今さらながら工事監督が確認する。
「なるほど。確かにな」

呆れてしまう。
習慣に従っていたら大惨事になるところだった。

Cliff Parking

I park the truck on a cliff so that it sticks out into the air.

That was always fine.
However, this time I feel a sense of discomfort.

When I was hesitant,
the construction supervisor instructed me.
"Stop here as usual."

I shake my head and try to resist.

"Usually there was a metal frame here.
But now there is only a wooden stick like a split chopstick.

This is scary and I can't stop."

He confirms it now.
"I see. Certainly."

空中の球体

空中に並んで浮いた３個の球体がある。

これらのうちの１個を手で押し下げると
他の２個も連動するように一緒に位置を変える。

そして、手を放せばすべて元の位置に戻る。

この現象には現実における複雑な人間関係が
遠隔操作で反映されているのだそうだ。

あいかわらず、よくわからないことである。

Spheres in the Air

There are three spheres floating side by side in the air.

If you push down one of these by hand,
the other two will change position together
so that they work together.

And if you let go,
everything will return to its original position.

選挙事務所

国政選挙の真っ最中。
ある大物政治家の選挙事務所にいる。

「今この時期、舵を切り違えたら大変なことになる」
選挙速報を聴きながら彼は言う。

「一時的でいいから、まともな人が選ばれて欲しいよ」
「そうですよね」

「あいつなんかが選ばれたら最悪だ」
「確かに」

「おまえ、出るか」
彼が押すなら現実味を帯びる。

ほんの一瞬、迷った。
「いやいや、無理ですよ」

Election Office

In the middle of a national election.
I'm in the election office of a big politician.

"It would be a big deal
if we turned the wrong direction at this time."

He says while listening to the election bulletin.

"I want a decent person to be selected
because it can be temporary."

"That's right."

"It would be the worst if he was chosen."
"Surely."

"Are you going to run?"
If he pushes, the win will be realistic.

I was at a loss for a moment.

夜のライブ

TV番組の野外収録のようだ。

人通りが多い夜の公園みたいな場所を歩いている。
司会の男と女性アシスタントも一緒。

散歩していた大物歌手と遭遇。
「ここでライブをやりませんか？」と提案。

歌手は快く引き受けてくれた。
それで、街灯の下に場所を確保する。

近くにライブ演奏中の若者グループがいた。
「我々は遠慮した方がいいですかね？」

「かまいませんよ。どうぞ続けてください」
鷹揚な態度の大物歌手。

ギターを抱え、折りたたみパイプ椅子に座る。
しばらくチューニングと雑談。

彼はいつの間にやら近所の知人になっていた。

Live at Night

It seems to be an outdoor recording of a TV program.

I am walking in a place like a park at night
when there is a lot of traffic.

The moderator man and female assistant are also together.

I encountered a big singer who was taking a walk.
I suggested, "Why don't you play live here?"

He was willing to accept it.
So we secure a place under the street light.

There was a group of young people playing live nearby.
"Should we refrain?"

"It doesn't matter. Please continue."
A big singer with an uplifting attitude.

He holds a guitar and sits in a folding pipe chair.
He tuned and chatted for a while.

He had become my acquaintance
in the neighborhood before I knew it.

餅の誘い

クルマから降りて、友人と一緒に歩き始める。
いかにもな田舎の曲がりくねった道だ。

友人が誰かと電話している。
「いやいや、そんなことないって」

なんだか僕をだまして僕を食べるような話だ。
きっと聞きまちがいだろう。

家と家の間の空間に窓があった。
そこから見える景色には見覚えがなかった。

ちょっと不安になる。

電話を終えた友人が近寄ってきた。
「餅を食べるかい？」

僕は葉っぱを拾って紙飛行機にして飛ばす。
「正月にも食べてないから、悪くないね」

はて、僕らはどこへ行こうとしているのだろう。

Invitation of Rice Cake

I get out of the car and start walking with my friends.
It's a winding road in the countryside.

He is calling someone.
"No, that's not the case."

It's kind of like tricking me into eating me.
I'm sure I made a mistake.

There was a window in the space between the houses.
I didn't recognize the scenery seen from there.

I'm a little worried.

"Do you eat rice cake?"

I pick up the leaves
and make them into paper planes and fly them.

"I haven't eaten in the new year, so it's not bad."

工作活動

悪い奴らが町内で暴れているという。
黒い霧または黒雲のイメージ。

奴らの戦力は強いが、不意を突けば
意外に脆弱（ぜいじゃく）なところもありそう。

それで、おれは通学の途中でも工作活動に余念がない。
小さな裁縫鋏でタコ糸を切ろうとしている。

親指が穴に入らず、うまく切れない。

女子学生の集団がすぐ近くを通る。
じろじろ見られ、ちょっと恥ずかしい。

Crafting Activities

It is said that bad guys are rampaging in the town.
They are images of black fog or black clouds.

Their strength is strong,
but if someone unexpectedly hits them,
they may be unexpectedly vulnerable.

Therefore, I am enthusiastic about my work
activities even while I am commuting to school.

I'm trying to cut a kite thread
with a small sewing shear.

My thumb doesn't go into the hole
and I can't cut it well.

A group of female students pass nearby.
I was a little embarrassed to be stared at by them.

快適を維持

子どもの頃から慢性鼻炎が続いていた。
体質的なものと諦めていたが、光明が見えてきた。

鼻をかんだ直後は一時的にすっきりする。
この状態を長く維持するよう試みるだけ。

まず、姿勢の矯正。
首をまっすぐ立て、顔はやや上向きにする。

そのまま意識的に鼻呼吸をする。
鼻の奥に風が当たり、残った鼻水が乾燥する感じ。

副鼻腔への自然口が開いたままなのだろう。
脳や眼球へ直接風を送っているような感覚。

鼻腔を拡張するような筋肉の動きも試みる。
じつに風通しが良くなる。

この状態がいつまでも続くわけではないが　
少しでも長く引き延ばし、繰り返す。

これによって鼻腔環境が改善するのではなかろうか。
たとえわずかとしても改善を積み重ねよう。

共同ゴミ置場の管理と同じ。
放っておかずに毎日こまめに対応する。

継続は力なり。
そのうち体質も変わる、と期待したい。

洗髪をお湯だけで済ますようにした時も
１年間ほど違和感が残ったものだが、今は快適だ。

Stay Comfortable

I have had chronic rhinitis since I was a child.

I had given up on it as a constitutional thing,
but I could see the light.

Immediately after I blow my nose,
I feel refreshed temporarily.

Just try to keep this state for a long time.

First, correct the posture.
Keep my neck straight and my face slightly up.

Breathe nasally as it is.

The wind hits the back of the nose,
and the remaining nasal discharge feels dry.

The natural mouth to the sinus may remain open.
The feeling of sending wind directly to the brain and eyes.

It also attempts muscle movements t
hat dilate the nasal cavity.

It really improves ventilation.

This condition does not last forever, but
it is extended and repeated for as long as possible.

This may improve the nasal environment.
Let's make improvements, even if only slightly.

This is the same as
managing the communal garbage yard.

Do not leave it alone and respond diligently every day.

Continuation is power.
I hope that my constitution will change soon.

Even when I tried to wash my hair with only hot water,
I felt uncomfortable for about a year,
but now it's comfortable.
