国語を外国語に機械翻訳する場合
そのまま実行しても、まず望む結果は得られない。
では、どうするか？
出力に問題あらば、入力を改善すべし。
つまり、原文の国語を翻訳しやすい国語に変換してやろう。
省略された主語、目的語、句読点などを書き入れる。
文の途中で改行せず、語の配置や句読点で意味を明解にする。
要するに、翻訳ソフトがデータの海原で遭難しないよう
あらかじめ噛み砕いて入力してやるわけである。
おそらく外国語の直訳に近い国語を入力してやるのが最善だろう。
味わい深い意訳は望めないが、仕方あるまい。
そういう意味では、紛らわしい国語を明解な国語に変換する
または、その逆の国語変換ソフトなどもあると助かる。
なんとなれば、あえて誤訳を受け入れる手もある。
ギャグとして外人さんに笑ってもらえたら、しめたもの。
また、閲覧者からのコメントで、誤訳を指摘していただけたら
恥ずかしくも嬉しいものである。
